Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website is operated under the name SoftFocus StudioNL, a creative studio based in the Netherlands. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@softfocusstudio.nl.

2. Contact form

When you use the contact form, we process the details you provide: your name, email address, an optional subject and your message. We use them only to read and answer your enquiry.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to messages people send us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or, where your message concerns a request before an agreement, steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Submissions are not stored in a website database. Your message is sent as an email to our mailbox, where it is received and stored.

3. Abuse prevention

To protect the form against spam and abuse, your IP address is used temporarily to limit the number of messages sent in a short period. It is held only in short-term server memory, is not stored in a database and is not included in the email we receive. The form also contains a hidden field that helps detect automated submissions.

4. Email delivery and storage

Contact form messages are delivered through Lovable Emails, the email service of our website platform Lovable. The service keeps delivery records (such as recipient, time and delivery status) to operate and secure email delivery. Messages are received and stored in our email mailbox hosted by Yourhosting.

We intend to keep enquiry emails for six months after an enquiry has been handled, unless a longer period is legally required.

5. Hosting and technical logs

This website is hosted by Lovable and delivered through its infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare. When you visit the site, your browser necessarily sends technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Hosting providers may process this information in technical logs for security and operation. We do not control the retention periods of these providers.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, such transfers are subject to the providers' own safeguards under the GDPR.

6. Cookies, storage and fonts

The website's own code does not set cookies, does not use browser storage for tracking, and does not include analytics, advertising pixels or social media tracking. The website fonts are served from our own site, not from Google or another font service. Our hosting platform may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to deliver the site securely.

7. External websites

Our books are sold on Amazon. When you follow a purchase link, you leave this website and Amazon's own privacy policy applies. The same applies when you follow our links to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest or TikTok: these are independent platforms with their own privacy policies. No content from these platforms is loaded on our pages.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise these rights, email info@softfocusstudio.nl.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when the website or our services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
